Facts: We work in the Bahar Dar area as well as the more remote Gondar area of Ethiopia. Although Bahar Dar is a moderately large city, many of the students travel from outlying areas to get to school.
The Gondar region is remote, rugged, and most people live a harsh life of poverty. Many of the dedicated students travel up to 5 miles one way to get to school.
